Ayanna Hatchett

Ayanna D. Hatchett was selected by Michigan Lawyers Weekly to be amongst the 2021 class of Women in the Law and in 2023 she was identified as a Super Lawyers Honoree. Her interest in personal injury started early in her career and she has worked exclusively on behalf of plaintiffs for the life of her 17-year career as an attorney.

Both before and during her attendance at Thomas M. Cooley Law School, Ayanna clerked for a variety of judges in Michigan’s state courts, at the district and circuit court levels.

As a member of the bar, she has practiced in federal and state courts. Her career has provided her with distinct opportunities to work-up and try a variety of cases in personal injury and more recently in police misconduct.

Outside of work, Ayanna enjoys participating in community service as a member of The Oakland County Chapter of The Links, Incorporated as well as spending time with her family and friends, and enjoying music of all kinds.
