Ian Striz graduated from Michigan State University with High Honors with a degree in Political Science. While at Michigan State, Ian was awarded the Rhiness Family Endowment Scholarship and Michigan Competitive Scholarship. He was selected to join the Michigan Government Semester Program which provides the opportunity to study Michigan Government and intern at the highest level of state politics. While participating in the Michigan Government Semester Program, Ian interned in the Michigan State Senate with Senator Hoon-Yung Hopgood. Ian also had an article published in the Michigan Policy Wonk which is part of the Institute for Public Policy and Social
Research.
Ian went on to study law at Wayne State University. While at Wayne State Ian served as an article editor for the Journal of Law in Society. He also did completed his clinical experience and was later hired by the Legal Advocacy for People with Cancer Clinic provided bro pono legal support to low-income cancer patients. His clinical experience focused on assistance with a plethora of legal issues, including insurance, housing, employment, life planning, and public benefit assistance.
At the Mike Morse Law Firm, Ian works in the pre-litigation department on the catastrophic injury team developing, settling, and preparing cases for litigation. He is passionate about personal injury law because it gives him the opportunity to advocate and fight for people who are going through one of the most difficult and unexpected moments of their life.
In his free time Ian is a huge fan of all things Detroit sports and a big supporter of his Michigan State Spartans. He enjoys golfing, spending time with his friends, family, and dog.
