Mike Morse Announces $1 Million Gift as Official Adoption Partner Michigan Humane
Mike Morse Law Firm is thrilled to announce a $1 million gift to Michigan Humane, our state’s oldest and largest animal welfare organization. The funding will help support and raise awareness of Michigan Humane’s community outreach programs, aimed at keeping people and their pets together across metro Detroit.
For almost 150 years, Michigan Humane has been well known for pet adoption. Since declaring a commitment to make metro Detroit the most humane community by 2030, the organization has been dedicated to serving both ends of the leash. This outreach can be seen through its Caplan Family Pet Food Pantry, veterinarian education pipeline, and the 8,000 animals cared for each year.
While this work takes place every day, many don’t realize the full extent of this community work.
“We are excited to deepen our support for Michigan Humane’s work in helping families and their pets,” said Mike. “With this donation, we hope to raise awareness about their impact and encourage community involvement. This partnership reflects our commitment to compassionate care and advocacy for all members of our community, including animals.”
A supporter of Michigan Humane for more than two decades, the firm’s $1 million gift expands upon our existing partnership as the organization’s official adoption partner, supporting the organization’s mission of adopting 100% of healthy and treatable animals that come through their doors annually.
“Mike Morse is a longtime supporter and friend to Michigan Humane. He understands that no one should have to choose between their own needs and the needs of their pet,” said Michigan Humane President & CEO Matt Pepper. “This understanding has been a key to his valued support of our work serving pets in our shelters and out in the community.”
In 2023, Michigan Humane impacted the lives of more than 138,000 animals and 97,000 families in metro Detroit. This year, the financial commitment will support several of Michigan Humane’s community outreach programs, along with an educational awareness campaign.
