    According to Mike Morse, Ross Lerner of Lerner Advertising, who makes the firm’s commercials, came to him in 2016 after hearing Thornetta Davis sing “Everything’s Gonna Be Alright” at a blues show, and Mike asked whether she would let the firm use the song in its Super Bowl commercial.

    She was singing background with a Detroit group, Lamont Zodiac and the Love Signs; when asked if she knew any blues she sang “Stormy Monday,” and the band leader asked her to join.
