Donyele R. Darrough earned her Bachelor of Arts in Economics at the University of Michigan. While at University of Michigan, she was active in the Black Student Union and Economics Club. Donyele received her Masters of Library and Information Sciences from Wayne State University. While working as a Librarian at WMU Cooley Law School, she earned her Juris Doctor. During her time at Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School, Donyele was a two-time recipient of the George A. Strait Scholarship and made the Dean’s List. She was also active in Christian Legal Society, Criminal Law Club, Black Law Students Association, Tax Law Society, and Women’s Lawyers Association. When she is not working, Donyele teaches Sunday School and sings in the choir. She enjoys road trips, jazz, and watching UM and professional football. She has 3 children, all attending college.
