Detroit’s Time to Shine!

The Auto Show Charity Preview is known as the largest single-night fundraiser in the world, raising nearly $5.2 million for southeastern Michigan children’s charities. Mike Morse Law Firm was proud to be one of this year’s sponsors.

It was truly a night to remember –the cars, the people, and the chance to raise much-needed funds for eight local children’s charities. I was thrilled to attend this year’s auto show Charity Preview at Cobo with my mom, Susan, as one of the event sponsors. Who better to escort on the red carpet? It was amazing to see more than 12,800 people coming together to support children and Detroit and our amazing auto industry. The buzz in the air for the kids and the city was palpable. Along the way, we stopped to chat with WXYZ-TV Channel 7 during their live charity preview broadcast. (Click on the video below to watch.)

Our firm is deeply committed to children and families in metro Detroit. That’s why we chose to sponsor this amazing and important event. Since 1976, the Charity Preview has raised more than $111 million to support children of all ages from birth to 18 years old. This year’s gala alone raised $5.2 million for the following charities:

• Boys Hope Girls Hope Detroit
• Children’s Center
• Children’s Hospital of Michigan Foundation
• Detroit Auto Dealers Association Charitable Foundation Fund
• Detroit PAL

To top it all off, on a wintry Detroit night, the Beach Boys performed live in front of the cheering crowd. It felt like a nice touch of summer.

The North American International Auto Show is the place to see the latest in automotive innovation and technology and vehicles of the future up close and in one place. Now in it’s 29^th year, NAIAS is considered one of the most prestigious auto shows in the world. The show is open to the public now through Sunday, January 22.

Join Us for Family Day!

Mike Morse Law Firm is also a sponsor of Channel 7’s Family Day at the auto show Friday, January 20 from 11am to 7pm. Look for our booth in the atrium. We’ll be handing out swag!
